Refocused 1.0.2 — a rebuilt Windows installer, faster Regenerate-Q, and prebuilt engines
Refocused 1.0.2 is out now for all platforms. This release focuses on getting you from download to first upscale faster — especially on Windows — plus a meaningful speed-up for our flagship model.
A rebuilt Windows installer
The Windows installer has been rebuilt:
- Redesigned interface. A branded, step-by-step setup flow.
- Accurate download progress. The app and model packages now report actual download progress rather than an indeterminate progress bar.
- Detailed install status. Each stage of extraction and setup is reported as it runs.
- Improved error handling. If a download fails, the installer stops with a clear error and offers an offline ZIP installer as an alternative, instead of leaving a partial installation.
Faster Regenerate-Q with INT8
Regenerate-Q — our flagship two-stage generative upscaler — now ships with INT8-quantized engine builds on both Apple Silicon and NVIDIA platforms. Quantization cuts memory use and speeds up the generative stage, which especially helps on lower-VRAM GPUs.
Prebuilt model engines
Building model engines locally takes time and a beefy machine. 1.0.2 introduces prebuilt engines: download ready-to-run engine bundles for your hardware directly from the Model Library, or during first-run setup. No local build step required.
Choose your install size
The download page now offers install tiers: grab the app on its own, or bundle the essential models so you're ready to enhance the moment installation finishes.
Smaller improvements
- Clearer first-run screen: it's now obvious that the free trial is tied to your account and how to access it.
- Fixed a frame-interpolation issue on NVIDIA builds.
- Better handling of low-RAM configurations on Windows.
To update, download the latest build from the install page — or, if you're already on 1.0.1, use the in-app updater in Settings.
